Mission

Life
Coaching Institute’s Insight Transformation Coaching
Certification program focuses on achieving deep positive change for
clients through accessing a mindful, positive mindset controlled by the
parasympathetic nervous system and inspired intention. We
believe
that the promotion of happiness, positive relationships, wisdom and the
sacred within (as defined by the client) are a foundation for inspired
living, optimal performance, excellent decision-making and problem
solving, creative thinking, good health, and positive relationships.
(This is supported by both neuroscience and psychological research.)
The emphasis on developing conscious control of this mindful
positive mindset reflects a belief that transformational coaching (as
described above) can produce the foundation for producing a powerful
new paradigm for living and working.
Program
goals
1.
Understand and apply the framework for achieving deep positive change
through accessing a mindful, positive mindset, Insight Transformation.
2. Understand the contribution of neuropsychology, neurophysics and
positive psychology in the development and principles of the Insight
Transformation model.
3. Display competencies that reflect those of the International
Coaching Federation for coaches, as well as those specific to
implementing the Insight Transformation model of life coaching.
4. Learn coaching skills and tools through rigorous academic training
while at the same time applying that learning in 25 supervised coaching
hours per course.
5. Provide the client with knowledge of self-coaching tools
that
build inspired living and work, as well as tools that transform
negative experiences acting as barriers to coaching goals.
6. Create a plan for developing and growing a small business (such as a
coaching practice) through using the Insight
Transformation
process emphasizing a mindful, positive mindset for business decisions
vs. a fear-driven one.
7. Provide a means of personal and professional development for
students through assigned projects and exercises.
8. Provide two levels of coaching certification (basic and
professional) reflective of the ICF ACC and PCC certification process.
At Life Coaching Institute, we train coaches to provide services that
will create options for work and personal life building meaningful and
fulfilling lives for their clients. This is done while simultaneously
healing emotional pain and stress through unleashing the client’s
inner potential. Inner potential consists of teaching the client to
access their deepest knowledge learned over a life time stored in the
subconscious mind as well as accessing a creative force (however the
client defines it).
The training program at LCI emphasizes life coaching integrated with
the ability to do business and executive coaching.

History
of the Program
After
25 years of developing and testing a coaching framework for manifesting
deep change, Dianne was repeatedly asked by clients and interested
individuals to provide a means of learning this framework as well as
evidence based coaching skills. In 2005, Dianne used her
20 years
of college teaching skills to develop the first three courses for the
basic certification process for a small first class of students (3
individuals). In 2008, she developed and offered the first and second
courses for the professional level certification process. In 2010 the
third course was developed that completes the professional level
certification program.
Concept/philosophy
behind the program
Many
coaching programs are focused on behavioral change, rather than deep
transformation. There is a place for both types of programs in
coaching, but deep transformation is needed for certain desired goals
in life coaching. Examples of this include goals aimed at achieving a
closer relationship with the sacred, a positive relationship with a
spouse, finding meaning in one’s life and work, finding balance
in life and work, or becoming a presence based leader.
Secondly, there is a need for a deep transformation approach that uses
a holistic approach that sees human change as part of an
environmental-person system. Insight Transformation includes
consideration for the human domains of spirit (as defined by the
coachee), mind, emotion, subtle physical (energy of the body), physical
(body based coaching tools and health considerations) and life context
(interactions with those individuals and groups in your life).
Third, there is a need for a coaching framework that deliberately
teaches self-coaching tools to clients to not only build positive
opportunities and outcomes, but also for transforming the challenges of
negative experiences/emotions that get in the way of what is desired.
Finally, there is a need for more programs that provide a framework
based on evidenced-based research, rather than primarily common sense.
The Insight Transformation coaching program is an attempt to address
these needs.

regarding student conduct.
Pre-requisites
or requirements students must meet to enter the program
Each
student must provide evidence of receiving 6 hours of transformational
coaching prior to completing LC100. Coaching
sessions are available with one of our certified transformational life
coaches for all incoming students at a special rate of $60 per one hour
session.
Each
incoming student must write a paragraph of why they want to enter the
program and provide a history of their education, work and volunteer
background. Prior to entering they also must sign an agreement that
spells out the policies and requirements of the Insight Transformation
coaching program.
General
structure of the program
One
to two options for coaching courses are offered in the fall and spring
and one option is generally offered during the summer. The
format
for these courses is either primarily face-to-face with an intensive
workshop in the beginning of each course OR a teleconference/web-based
format to accommodate students out of area. Each course
generally
consists of 27 hours of academic instruction, 4 hours of optional
mentoring meetings, and 25 hours of supervised coaching with clients.
Maximum number of students per course is 10 due to the intensive
supervision provided. Some courses such as basic skills for
internal coaching, group coaching and relationship coaching have
slightly different formats.
Relationship
to any specialty or method of coaching
The
Insight Transformation program specializes in life coaching that is
transformational. However, information, instruction and
practice
is given for the business sector, e.g. business, leadership, team and
executive coaching. The Insight Transformation program is
based
on an integration of neuroscience, particle physics, linguistic,
counseling and positive psychology research.
Policy
statements regarding admission to the program
Each
participant must fulfill the pre-requisites to the
program.
Based on their application letter, as well as the education, work and
volunteer history a preliminary decision will be made. If there is any
doubt, an interview will be scheduled prior to admission to the program.
General
Coaching Philosophy at Life Coaching Institute
We
believe you create your lifestyle through your intentions (what you
want), beliefs and choices. The result is a mixture of
positive
and negative outcomes. Consequently, it’s important to emphasize
building what you want through establishing a life plan, while learning
how to manage your problems.
To do this
it’s important to pay attention to all aspects of living –
spirit/life meaning, mind, emotional, physical and interpersonal
realities. However, we believe that the spirit/life meaning
domain is the driving force for creating positive life choices and
opportunities in daily living. This force consists of your intuitive
inner self and a creative force (as you define it).
We
believe you have the capacity within yourself to solve your problems
and build the life you want. However, you may need help learning how to
access this intuitive inner knowledge. We provide that help through
coaching to facilitate the growth of inner potential, change thinking
patterns, improve communication and produce a thriving life.
